Scottish born Alastair Robertson (46), who grew up near Oxford, has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of human resources including organization development, as well as training and leadership develop-ment. He also has many years’ professional experience in international business environments. CEO Monika Ribar expressed her satisfaction that she has been able to appoint an experienced HR specialist like Alastair Robertson for the Panalpina Group. “The logistics industry is undeniably a people’s business, therefore the qualifications and achievements of all employees are of utmost importance for the success of the organization. This is especially true with Panalpina’s asset-light business model where the organization of entire supply chains and service quality rather than physical cargo handling takes priority.” The CEO recognizes that HR will be a core factor for the future development of the Group. Furthermore, Panalpina is a global organization, active across many cultures and therefore a candidate with vast international experience was pursued for this position.
