School after reconstruction
The rebuilt school is suitable for more than 150 schoolchildren aged 6 to 16, providing both preschool and elementary education.
It occupies an area of 819m2, and comprises four single-storey buildings with 10 classrooms plus function rooms for teaching, and two single-storey teachers’ hostels, to serve as accommodation for teachers. Everything, including the boundary wall and toilet, was rebuilt to earthquake-resistant standards.
To provide the students with a better environment for studying, Panalpina donated additional items to the school, including the basis for Panalpina Sowers Action Library, equipment for physical education, and musical instruments. Funds were also used to concrete the school grounds, with a total area of 2,315m2.
